Macro description: Biopsy specimen.
Micro description: Histologically, chronic inflammatory cells can be detected in the stoma of the intestine wall. Under the epithelium, in the submucosa some noncaseating granuloma appear, with epitheloid and giant cells.
Clinical diagnosis: <p><span>13-year-old girl. She was hospitalized because of loose, bloody stools. Colonoscopy revealed numerous erosions and ulcers displaying a cobblestone appearance.</span></p>
Consensus disgnosis: Crohn's disease in colon.
